Contest rules

This is a hoax contest, and photorealism (as defined in the FAQ) is required for this contest.

Who shot first, Han or Greedo? Well, that depends on which version of Star Wars you watched, the original, or the one that George Lucas edited to show Greedo shooting first.

In 1988, George Lucas said, "People who alter or destroy works of art and our cultural heritage for profit or as an exercise of power are barbarians..." Since then, it seems that he had never stopped changing Star Wars!

Over the years, George Lucas has tinkered with the original Star Wars trilogy, adding creatures, characters and effects, to the frustration and anger of a lot of fans. In the upcoming Blu-Ray release, there are some significant changes including:

* The Yoda puppet is replaced with the CGI Yoda seen in the prequel trilogy.
* Darth Vader is no longer silent when Emperor Palpatine is electrocuting Luke with force lightning. He gives what at first sounds like a quizzical "Noooo?" and then follows with a louder "NOOOOOO!!!"
* Obi-Wan's dragon howl, which scares off the sand people on Tatooine, has been changed.
* The Han Solo and Greedo shootout has been sped up (Greedo still shoots first).
* Wicket the Ewok's eyes now blink with big beautiful eyelashes.
* Han Solo now emits brilliant lighting effects when he is unfrozen from carbonite.
* Jabba the Hutt's palace has a fancy new door.
* Extra TIE-Fighters and TIE-Interceptors appear out of nowhere.

Are we, Worthians, barbarians who will alter and manipulate images from Star Wars, not for profit, but for good old parody fun?? I believe that answer is a large, resounding, HECK YES!

The rules are thus: Use your photo-manipulation skills to show us outrageous and hilarious changes to the Star Wars movies that George Lucas may inflict on us, such as Chewbacca getting a new set of dentures as in the Themepost. Remember, your entry should be photorealistic, and the quality of your humor and your cleverness must be top-notch! Go get 'em!

(And it goes without saying that the Star Wars cliche prohibition is lifted for this contest!)

Please, DO NOT post WIPs in your comments. Post them in the forums after the contest has ended.

Have fun, be creative!, keep it clean, follow the Arena Rules please, and be careful to avoid using cliches. You will have 48 hours to submit so make your entry count! As always, quality is a must. We'll remove especially poor images no matter how much we like you.

BONUS: If you use Aviary.com to create your entry you will receive 10 free credits! If you win you will receive an additional 100 credits.

NOTE: To receive your free credits, please site message Corporate with a link to your entry.

(Lukewarm thanks goes out to Harry122 for the theme post!)
