Making Kids into MOMA's Boys
15 entries · 5/15/2012
Contest rules
You rarely see toddlers going to art museums these days. And why should they? What little kid wants to spend time staring at a farmer and his wife, or a nude statue (cooties!) when they could be home watching Nickelodeon or Disney? If only the Old Masters had been smart enough to put licensed characters into their artwork, they'd have managed to snag the next generation of artgoers while they were still young.
In this contest, we're asking you to fix their oversight. Update any artwork with a character from the world of children's entertainment. Replace the Mona Lisa with Kim Possible, add the Teletubbies to the Last Supper, or create a portrait of King Friday XIII from Mr. Roger's Neighborhood.
Hit List: Anything by Norman Rockwell. Using his work will result in disqualification.
Please, DO NOT post WIPs in your comments. Post them in the forums after the contest has ended.
Have fun, be creative!, keep it clean, follow the Arena Rules please, and be careful to avoid using cliches. You will have 48 hours to submit so make your entry count! As always, quality is a must. We'll remove poor images no matter how much we like you.
(Special thanks goes out to podesta67 for the awesome themepost!)
