The Voice in her head

Tyra Banks first "modeling" job was at a circus. She was really more of a showgirl, wearing skimpy outfits and striking a "ta da" pose when the other performers completed their stunts. She loved the circus...except for the clowns which she always found creepy. Then, she started to hear the voice in her head. It would urge her to do horrible things. She refused but would then suffer pounding headaches.
"C'mon. DO IT!!" the voice urged.
"I can't someone will get hurt-it's evil."
Day after day, she would have this argument in her head and day after day, the pain became worse and worse. Finally she could stand it no longer and complied. She coated the sword swallowers blades with syrup of ipecac. The pain didn't lessen but she became more tolerant of it. She poured two pounds of nails into the human cannonball's cannon and again the pain altered. She found she was almost beginning to enjoy it. She cut half way through the ropes holding the trapeze and when she unlocked the cages of the big cats, she felt almost euphoric. The pain became pleasure.
"One more thing to do" rasped the voice..."put on the makeup."
She made her way to the clowns dressing room and started to paint her face. Each stroke of the brush was ecstasy. When she was finally done, she knew things were going to be alright.
"You and I are going to do great things", the voice said triumphantly.
