Raising the Demon

In 1120 AD, the demon Bajazet was defeated by a band of brave knights led by the wizard Wulfrich the Good. In the battle, Wulfrich was mortally wounded. Knowing he could not perform the rites that would ensure that the demon could never take shape again, he called the knights close. With his dying breath, he charged them and their descendants to hide and guard the demon's remains so that he could never be resurrected. For 400 years there was peace. Then the witch Pikkatze discovered the hiding place, slew the knights and performed the ritual that brought the demon back to this world.
